Now you’ve got me wondering about making a pipe out of a Benz steering wheel lock.

Mine failed recently - broke off in the lock. I got a new Meyle cylinder to fix it with, but in the meantime I’ve yanked the steering wheel lock and have been driving with a screwdriver because YOLO

I’ve never had a problem with them breaking, I just have a problem with everyone who’s ever driven mine breaking that rubber cover.

My main key was an ILCO duplicate because it worked more correctly in my worn-ass stupid lock. The original set, one cracked and was subsequently lost somewhere under a 1912 house, and the other is now... the door key, I guess. The ILCO’s handle/ring broke too, but because it was good butyl rubber, the little T-handle still had rubber on it instead of the whole thing cracking off.

There’s actually two of them on my desk. They’re wasted right now, should probably stand them back up.
